Horse Shoe Bend near Page, AZ was recommended to us by our Antelope Canyon guide. Nate mentioned that we can’t miss the parking lot and there might be “a few” people venturing in the direction of the view point at sunset. He recommended sunset as a good time to capture pictures here, however, the sunset was less than eventful, lacking color and much interest.
We concluded that this must be a point of interest recommended by the locals to all tourists – bus loads of people, baby carriages, tourists of all ages and nationalities all made their way to the look out point. The edge of the cliff was packed with visitors… and I don’t really do well getting to close to the edge! The bend in the river is worthwhile to capture in person and with the camera, however the next time I come through this area of Arizona I will make sure I get up early and capture the light at sunrise for a change.
