I put out the invitation to participate and 20 photography enthusiasts responded. When it turned out to be a wet and grey day on October 3rd I spent a bit of time gathering info on rainy day photography and how to rain proof your gear.
With that done, all I could do is keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. I was not disappointed! 16 photographers turned up at the meeting point. Rain and cold weather will not keep these committed photographer away!
As Friedensreich Hundertwasser (Late Austrian painter 1927 – 2000) so aptly shared: “On a rainy day, colours begin to glow; that’s why a cloudy, rainy day is the kind I like best. That’s the kind of day when I can work. When it rains, I’m happy. And when it rains, I know my day is beginning.”
