Spring arrived and has been a little disappointing with its cold wind, grey, cloudy days and slow growth. The crocus were sparse due to the dry conditions this year. I was lucky to capture a few images a few steps away from our house.
The usual country side explorations have been non existent for us this year as we have been busy with getting the house and studio ready for the market. It’s a great place but it’s time for a change of scenery. Our dream place is now listed. Last Saturday I had a chance to attend and participate in a course that I have been interested in for several years. The CAPA Judging Course was excellent! Even if a photographer does not want to judge photography the course is comprehensive and informative. It will help improve anyone’s way of seeing the world through the lens. I had been a member of CAPA a couple of years ago but let me membership lapse as I didn’t see a lot of benefit at the time… I am converted. This course alone is worth the membership. CAPA stands for Canadian Association for Photographic Art. Did I mention: I took out a new membership. I look forward to receiving the newsletter and staying informed via their website.
With so many activities out of the way I am recommitting to posting regularly. I haven’t been on the road lately but there is so much to see closer to home that this will be my focus for a while. Have a great week!
