The sun broke through the clouds around lunch hour today. I am taking a Miksang Photography workshop at Fleming College in Haliburton, ON
With only about 20 minutes left during the lunch hour I just had to explore the Sculpture Garden!
I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did capturing them while walking on this colourful carpet of leaves.
Saskatchewan had one of these early snow events just around Thanksgiving this year. This makes a trip to the Ottawa area even more special. My wish to experience true autumn colour was granted and despite heavy rain and temperatures that are somewhat on the cooler side my friend and I ventured out yesterday afternoon to capture the last of the leaves with our cameras. At first Elaine decided that she would just drive me around and if the opportunity arose she would make some pictures from the car. This did not last long. I am happy to report that my enthusiasm was contagious and Elaine participated in her first photography session in the rain.
Who could resist these vibrant colours, washed clean and further illuminated by the wet conditions? The images were captured just east of Orleans, ON.
